Description:
Due to the high growth strategy of our Mixed Signal IP Business, we are now looking to hire a North American Regional Sales Manager based in the Western United States.
Reporting to the GM, North America Silicon Business Unit, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Sales of Mixed Signal IP in the Western US, including California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona
- Sales budget and planning for the assigned territory
- Meeting sales and revenue targets in the territory
- Preparing sales proposals
- Maintaining up-to-date information on customer engagements in Salesforce.com
- Maintaining up to date forecasting information
- Planning and execution of (quarterly) business review meetings with key customers in the territory
- Developing and maintaining an innovative business plan which will include key customer, financial and market information
- Management and development of selected areas of S3’s customer base
- Identifying customer requirements
- Identifying prime contacts within target customers
- Identifying and developing new customers and markets based on S3 business development plan
- Providing competitive and market information on an ongoing basis
- Advising the Business Line on S3's ability and development needs to address new and emerging markets
- Reporting on market perceptions of S3’s products and services
- Reporting on key competitors and their strategies and activities in the marketplace.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Further business training in Sales and/or Marketing/Technology management
- Five years direct sales or sales management experience including responsibility for multiple contract wins in excess of US$250K
- Extensive experience in value based selling to semiconductor companies, especially to the Business Owners and Senior Development Executives
- Experience of selling Silicon IP is highly desirable, in particular Analog/Mixed Signal IP
- Excellent knowledge of semiconductor markets particularly in the consumer, wireless, or networking sectors
- Ability to engage with existing and new customers of S3, to understand their application requirements and to present S3 solutions in an effective and professional manner
- Ability to develop long-term business relationships with customers
- Ability to work effectively as part of S3’s outstanding team to develop winning value propositions for our customers
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, within a defined sales process
- Ability and willingness to engage in cold calling of potential IP customers
- Willingness to travel frequently to customers within North America, but with focus on the Western US.
