Description:
A vacancy exists for a Process Engineer within Silicon & Software Systems’ Consumer Silicon Business Unit. Based in Prague and reporting to the Quality Manager in Dublin, the successful candidate will be a member of the Company Project Improvement Office (PIO) function and have the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the application of S3’s and customers’ project and quality management processes on all projects within the Business Unit
- Ensuring that process improvements are identified and implemented as appropriate, both within the business unit and S3 overall
- Collection and reporting of project information and process metrics from projects
- Coordinating IS09001:2000 Quality Management System activities at the Prague Design Centre
- Planning and execution of internal audits and assessments based on ISO9001:2000 and CMMI
- Ongoing coaching & training of Business Unit staff on all project & quality process related issues
- Being a proactive player on the PIO team in realisation of the PIO Strategic Plans
Requirements:
- Appropriate Master’s engineering qualification with at least 4 years post-qualification experience
- Proven track record as an engineer and project leader, preferably from a development engineering background
- Good understanding of Life Cycles applied in development engineering projects
- Good working knowledge of Project and Quality Management systems
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite, MS Project, MS Access
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships
- Strong leadership skills
- Results focused
- Innovative
- Can work on own effectively and manage own time with minimum level of supervision
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Czech would be a distinct advantage
- Available to frequently travel to other company and customer sites (approximately 1 week per month)
