Vacancies exist in S3 for a number of Senior JEE Application Software Architects to join our highly skilled development teams, building the next generation of Consumer Healthcare enterprise systems that will redefine how healthcare is delivered worldwide over the next decade.
Responsibilities:
S3 develops leading edge, highly scalable award winning enterprise systems. We perform full lifecycle projects from the concept phase, through requirements, system architecture and partitioning, development to system integration.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for:
- Concept and System Requirements
- Customer and Partner interaction to define the scope of projects from the programme, technical and process perspectives
- Architect and design leading edge, highly-scalable enterprise systems from the concept and system partitioning phase through to the system integration
- Providing key technology recommendations and decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Effective communication with clients and team members to solve complex technical challenges
- Providing range of consultancy and professional services for S3’s bluechip clients
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for changes
Qualifications required:
- Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
- Experience in Requirements and Architecture of large, highly-scalable enterprise systems, ideally in the Telecommunications domain
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (UML)
- Strong Knowledge of JEE (EJB, JSP, WebServices) and application servers (Oracle, IBM WebSphere, Bea WebLogic, JBoss)
- Knowledge of Application Frameworks (Struts/JSF, Spring, Hibernate)
- Knowledge of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus)
- Knowledge of integration patterns
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong software engineering skills
- Experience working in large, multi-site teams
- Strong customer orientation
- Good spoken and written English
Experience in the following areas is a distinct advantage:
- Experience with FDA certification process
- Experience working with Telelogic Doors
