Vacancies exist for senior engineers (5+ years) and principal engineers (8+ years) within Silicon & Software Systems' Prague Design Center. You will be part of an experienced digital IC design team developing complex system-on-chip solutions on leading-edge technologies for customers in the consumer and wireless sectors.
As a Senior Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the development cycle from requirements capture through to tape-out. You will mentor other engineers, be involved in developing and refining our design flows and processes and regular technical customer communication.
As a Principal Engineer, you will have responsibility for all technical aspects of the project, interfacing to the customer and foundry. You will be proficient in leading technical teams and in bringing complex ICs from requirements through to tape-out, play a crucial role in ensuring that projects meet the highest technical standards and in determining the technology roadmap for the business unit.
Requirements:
- Honors Degree or post-graduate qualification in Electronic Engineering.
- 5+ years experience in design of large ICs / system-on-chip designs.
- Expertise in some of the following: advanced functional verification techniques; IC architecture design and modeling; embedded processors and business architectures; RTL design; IP and package selection; synthesis; DFT; STA; timing and signal integrity closure and low power design.
- Experience with leading edge EDA tools such as Cadence/Verisity, Synopsys and Mentor.
- Expertise in complete IC design flows, from requirements to evaluation.
- Strong Unix scripting skills (tcl/perl) and an aptitude for automation would be a distinct advantage.
- Technical project leadership skills and experience.
- Good problem solving and communication skills.
- Successful track record of project work.
- Short-term travel will be occasionally required.
- Fluency in Czech and a minimum of intermediate English preferred.
