James Blair is S3 Group’s Director of IC Design Services in the Consumer Silicon Services Business Unit. James has responsibility for the direction and management of all S3 Group silicon service engineers, who provide leading edge advanced silicon development design services. His responsibility spans design centers in Dublin, Cork and Prague. James manages key relationships with customers and suppliers of the BU.

James brings over ten years experience with Apple as a Staff Software Engineer and Manager of Software Development, followed by over three years of expertise from Motorola both in the USA and Ireland with responsibility for software product development. James joined S3 Group in 2000 as Design Center General Manager in Cork and was recently appointed to the position of Director of Operations, Consumer Silicon Services.

James has a deep understanding of the semiconductor value chain and a strong reputation in the industry. James holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from the University of British Columbia.
