Derek Dwyer is S3 Group’s General Manager for the TV Technology Business Line.  In the Digital Consumer industry Derek focuses on providing expertise across the full breadth of the value chain from broadcasters to middleware vendors, conditional access providers and Set-Top Box equipment manufacturers. S3 Group delivers software products and integration services to its clients ensuring low risk system deployments and leverages a twenty year legacy of consumer systems expertise and proven embedded software experience.

Derek joined S3 Group in 1996 as a software engineer and rose quickly through the ranks from Project Management into Product Development and Program Management before taking up the mantle as General Manager for TV Technology in March, 2007.  Derek has developed strategic relationships and worked on multiple projects with some of S3 Group’s Tier One customers including Nokia, Scientific Atlanta, Motorola, OpenTV and Sky amongst others.

Derek holds a First Class Honors degree in Computer Engineering (B.Eng.) from the University of Limerick. Derek has also successfully completed various technical and management courses to add to his skill base.
