John Maguire is S3's General Manager for Consumer Mobile.  John focuses on delivering industry leading client software stacks to enable mobile broadcast digital TV on handheld devices. S3's onHandTV™ product is the established leader in the provision of middleware and systems expertise enabling the delivery of digital TV to cell phones and other mobile devices.

In 2001, Maguire served as the Technology Officer for the Consumer Mobile Business Line with responsibility for developing the line’s technical capability and enhancing its intellectual property portfolio. Additionally, Maguire’s responsibility included marketing and business development with a particular emphasis on building new strategic customer relationships.

Maguire first joined S3 in 1995 holding various roles including software development, project leadership and program management. John is an Electronic Engineer and holds a Masters Degree in Technology Management from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin.
