Jim O'Donoghue is the Head of S3's embeddedMIND™ Division. Jim's role involves setting the strategic direction, managing key client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of networking infrastructure solutions to a global client base.

Jim joined S3 in 1987 as a software engineer and rose rapidly through the ranks, before being appointed as General Manager of the Networking Business Unit in 1999.  Jim was instrumental in establishing S3 as a leader in the networking sector. Jim brings a breadth of expertise and experience to embeddedMIND™ with over eleven years in senior management roles as well as eight years in general business management.

Jim played a pivotal role in pioneering the company’s evolution into product development and has been a core contributor to the development of the business with a Tier One client base including Lucent, Motorola, Fujitsu, IBM, Intel amongst others. Jim currently heads up S3's embeddedMIND™ division, a separately run business within the S3 group.

Jim holds a BA in Mathematics and a BAI in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
