When did you join S3 Group and why did you make that decision?

I joined S3 Group in September 2014, after graduating from UCD with a degree in Electronic Engineering. I had an internship here in 2013, and that experience really made my mind up for me. People here were so friendly, and I loved that I was able to apply what I’d studied and learn so much more on top of that.

S3 Group was recommended to me by several of my lecturers. As well as that, I liked that it is a smaller company with big customers; meaning I’d get to work on a great variety of products and services with a huge range of applications, and even as a recent graduate I’d have the opportunity to make a real contribution to these projects.

What would you say to people considering working at S3 Group?

I would say for anybody interested in technology, who wants to work somewhere with a welcoming atmosphere, S3 Group is a great place to come to. For graduates I think it’s the perfect place to start your career, as you can get a broad experience and work with people who really are interested in helping you develop further.

What do you enjoy most about working at S3 Group?

One of the best things about working here is the great sociable atmosphere; everyone gets on well and they’ve made me feel really welcome since I’ve started here. The people I work with here are always happy to answer any questions I have, which makes a big difference to how much I can learn and progress through my work.

Describe what an average day for you involves?

As a recent graduate working in the Silicon Business Unit, I’m getting experience in a lot of different areas. I’ve done some digital logic design for a high-speed data converter, and am now writing code to simulate communication systems for a transceiver. Currently a typical day for me would include coding using MATLAB or Python, as well as some research into the systems I’m simulating.

And finally, what are your interests outside of work?

I love playing and listening to music, and going to concerts with friends. I’m interested in travelling also, and am planning to visit both Japan and Peru next year.

When did you join S3 Group and why did you make that decision?

Recently I graduated my study (Electronic Photonic and Microsystems) on University of Technology in Wroclaw and I joined S3 Group in 2014.

Why? I was looking for work where I could efficiently develop myself and for a place where great products are created with passion, engagement and technical precision.

If I was to choose once again I would choose S3 Group!

What would you say to people considering working at S3 Group?

If you like good atmosphere at work, If you have a lot of ideas, and if you think you can create something special for another people….What are you waiting for? !

What do you enjoy most about working at S3 Group?

My work is very much connected with my personal interests. All my team-mates combine to be a perfect group because we have common goals. We don’t compete with each other. That makes me enjoy my work more than anything.

Describe what an average day for you involves?

I have been participating in an important project for the connected health group, which is exciting as this is my first assignment in S3 Group. The project concerns the Telehealth domain and is designed to provide people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and health care providers with injection history, treatment adherence information and health reports. My daily job is to test and check applications based on test cases and requirements.

And finally, what are your interests outside of work?

I don’t have one hobby. In my free time I like doing a lot of things. When the weather is good I like to spend my time in any active way. I enjoy riding a bicycle and playing badminton with my friends. I like reading books and seeing interesting movies, too. Besides all this I like listening to music.
