S3 Longlisted for Remote Telemonitoring Service Procurement in Northern Ireland
November 11th, 2008 – S3 has been longlisted by the European Centre for Connected Health for their Remote Telemonitoring Service procurement for Northern Ireland. S3 is part of the TF3 consortium with Tunstall and Fold.
The European Centre for Connected Health, launched by the Minister for Health, Michael McGimpsey in January 2008, has been established to promote improvements in patient care through the use of technology in health and social care and to fast track new products and innovation in the health and social services. While the Centre will have a Europe-wide focus, it will build momentum initially by focusing on the Health and Social Care system in Northern Ireland. The Remote Telemonitoring Service aims to initially focus on monitoring Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) and Diabetes. The volume of patients/clients is expected to increase incrementally to at least 5000 by 2011. For further information please visit http://www.eu-cch.org/
