This is a full project lifecycle delivery service from early concept to initial volume manufacturing that enables customers to guarantee first time right delivery and fast time to market by using S3 Group as their Prime Contractor and product development partner.
A typical engagement starts from a multidisciplinary concept and requirements definition of the product. When creating new products and user interfaces, we apply an End-User-Driven Innovation Process that focuses on designing systems that are tailored to fit in with patients' lifestyles, creating solutions that are intuitive, elegant and which make the underlying supporting technologies transparent.
As part of the planning activities, we work closely and in partnership with our clients to construct the right supply chain to design and develop the product in question based on a combination of regulatory requirements, volume of product to be produced, cost and flexibility. This typically involves leveraging a combination of our clients and S3 Group’s ecosystem of suppliers who we have used on similar programs:
- World leading Industrial Designers, EMS firms, Mould designers, Plastic injection molding specialists etc.
- US, European & Asia Presence
We support our client’s innovation team with planning, costing, BOM optimization if appropriate and de-risking information into their development start milestone review.
During the subsequent development phase we provide Prime Contractor management of the chosen ecosystem of suppliers, coupled with our software and hardware design expertise as required.
We drive the product development execution to the point where the end solution is being manufactured in volume at an EMS that is chosen to fit with your product requirements.
We have extensive domain knowledge in Telehealth, End User Driven Innovation, Multidiscipline Prime Contractor Management, Continua standards, and personal area network communication technologies such as
Bluetooth, USB, Zigbee and ultra-low-power short-range wireless interfaces that are used to ensure that the sensor devices interoperate with Health Gateways (Application Hosting Devices).
