| World's first PC DVB-H mobile TV | |
| The Problem | A Tier 1 broadcaster was in the process of adding a mobile TV network based on DVB-H to their infrastructure. They wanted to develop a solution which would allow them to additionally target Microsoft Windows PCs. The challenge was that they wanted the solution to be as reliable and low-cost as possible. |

| S3 Group's Client | Major Tier 1 TV broadcaster. |
| The Solution | S3 Group, working with a major CA company, developed a secure PC client solution to receive DVB-H transmissions on a PC. To lower the cost of the solution and reduce the risk for the project by removing the reliance on new and unproven DVB-H receiver hardware, S3 Group developed an interfacing layer of software which allowed common off-the-shelf DVB-T receivers to be used to pick up the signal. |
| The Outcome | The broadcaster achieved their objective of having a solution available on the PC platform and is currently awaiting regulatory approval prior to launch. |
