The initiative further extends OpenTV's commitment to its customers in deploying robust and compelling solutions and complements the company's existing relationship with partners such as Cisco, Irdeto and Nagravision.

"Our business is expanding rapidly and it is important for us to leverage our partnerships with the industry's leading system integrators to meet and surpass our customers' needs and expectations," said Tracy Geist, SVP Business Development. The new program has many benefits for both parties, including:

  • The licensing of OpenTV's middleware technology at no cost to trusted partners;
  • No reliance on outside parties which emphasizes the importance of both partnership and autonomy;
  • Freedom for partners to develop their own solutions;
  • Behind the scenes visibility on upcoming developments at OpenTV.

"OpenTV's System Integrator Partner Program will enable us to meet our customers' desire for fully integrated and tested software solutions that allow them to accelerate the delivery of complete products," said Mark Huttemann, CEO of Triple Play Integration. "With this program, TPI can continue to deliver our set-top box solutions with all the latest features provided by OpenTV's Core middleware."
